ABOUT THE RESTAURANT

The Spiggie Hotel is surrounded by Shetland's most gorgeous countryside which raises and supports some of the best food on this planet! We will always try to source our produce locally and within the relevant season. For example, our beef is sourced from Orkney, our Pork from Eshaness (when available), lamb is distinctly from all around us and needless to say, our seafood could easily be caught somewhere within the view from your window.

The team here are keen to provide simple yet stunningly delicious dishes, carefully prepared from the freshest local ingredients. From your first nibble to your last spoonful of dessert, our aim is to delight your taste-buds and ensure you enjoy the Spiggie Experience.

Our head chef Simon Allan has been with us for 3 years and has great talent and enthusiasm. He loves preparing simple and stunning seafood but also has a passion for creating and testing new and exciting dishes. His Sticky Toffee pudding is renowned and has been touted as the best in the country. Try it and judge for yourself - you can always burn off the few extra calories by taking a walk down to the breath-taking Spiggie Beach

We may be on the small side, but we can still offer a choice of attractive options to suit your needs whether it is a quick bite on the way to the airport or some comfort food in the bar, or maybe the special celebration in our home from home restaurant.
